The day before, at a meeting organized by the Ministry of Urban Development and Agglomerations of Nizhny Novgorod region, residents of “Krasniy Prosveshchenetc” were presented with options for the integrated development of the territory for discussion.

The head of STUDIO-TA Tigran Badalyan talked on an alternative project that the bureau has been developing on its own initiative for several months in a row with the active participation of urbanist, architectural producer and urban defender Lucy Malkis.

A master plan created by STUDIO-TA assumes the preservation of some historical houses in the “city-park” format and a gradual increase in height from two floors on Belinsky street to a multi-storey building on Genkina street located in Nizhny Novgorod. The architects propose to relocate the residents of the block to multi-storey buildings and to make public spaces in preserved or restored existing houses.
