From “garden–city” to “city–park”: CEO of STUDIO-TA Tigran Badalyan presented a new project in Nizhny Novgorod at ARCH MOSCOW
Today, on June 11th, on the final day of main architectural exhibition in Russia, during the pitch by founder, CEO of STUDIO-TA, architect Tigran Badalyan accompanied by urban defender and architectural producer Lucy Malkis were talking on capitalization of heritage and Nizhny Novgorod residential quarter called “Krasniy Prosveshchenetc”.
That is how they both presented an alternative concept of integrated territory’s development of the residential quarter focused on historical buildings’ preservation. The project located in Nizhny Novgorod was initiated a few months ago by their own desire.
“We propose to preserve the idea of “garden–city” by transforming it into a more relevant format of “city–park”, which is achieved by preserving project’s “drawing” completed a hundred years ago,” – Tigran Badalyan told case session participants.
